Eight Hitches for Increasing Fuel Consumption

If you find that the fuel consumption increase over 10 percent than usual, maybe it is a sign that there is something wrong with your car. You can find causes from the following eight aspects to remedy:
1. If you find the slide distance shorten apparently, maybe you need to check whether the tyres’ pressure conforms with the pressure standard. If there isn’t enough gas in the tyres, the fuel consumption will increase.
Advice: Fill gas into the tyres timely.
2. Check whether the tyres are badly worn. The car will slide easily which increase the fuel consumption if the tyres are badly worn.
Advice: Change the new tyres if it is necessary.
3. If you find there is unusual sound when you start the engine or on the way, please check whether there is something wrong with the bearing and the brake. If the wheels don’t rotate normally, the speed will be affected and the fuel consumption will increase.
Advice: Exam the bearing and the brake system.
4. Slipping clutch will make the engine move slowly. If you find the engine speed table moves fast but the speed increases slowly when you speed up, then it tells you the trouble is the clutch.
Advice: Change the Clutch films, clutch disc and flywheel.
5.If you have already drove more than 200,000 kilometers, the cylinder pressure won’t be enough which will increase the fuel consumption.
Advice: You need to overhaul the engine if things to be like this.
6.If the there is black smoke out of the exhaust-pipe, you need to check the carburetor.
Advice: If the carburetor is too dirty, you can spray the cleaning agents directly to the gas intake. If there is still black smoke, the only way is cleaning the carburetor apart.
7. If the spark plug is used too long, the fuel consumption will increase too. Because the broken spark plug will decline the energy of lighting fire and slow down the speed which increase the petrol consumption apparently.
Advice: Change the spark plug.
8. When the temperature control switch and the thermostat damage, there will be increase in fuel consumption. Because the damaged temperature control switch and thermostat would reduce the water temperature and the carburetor do not work properly, which leading to atomize gasoline adversely and fuel consumption volume increase significantly.
Advice: Check the temperature control switch and the thermostat.
